Age UK Exeter Calls on Christmas Shoppers to Help Charity

easyfundraising.org.uk shares the joy of festive good will

Online Christmas shoppers are being urged to buy their presents through leading charity website easyfundraising.org.uk and raise money for their favourite good cause.

Age UK Exeter has been working with easyfundraising.org.uk since last summer. So far the charity has raised £170 to help supporting older people in the City of Exeter. Heather Pearson, Development Administrator for Age UK Exeter said: “Christmas is such a busy time – so it makes sense to shop online, especially if you can help a charity.”

easyfundraising.org.uk has more than 33,000 causes registered on its site with over 2,000 partner retailers including, Marks & Spencer, Boden, Argos and eBay. When shoppers buy through easyfundraising.org.uk, each purchase generates an average donation of 5% of the total spend for the chosen cause.
easyfundraising.org.uk is on target to give away £1 million to charity this year. Online Christmas shoppers are also being asked to use www.easysearch.org.uk when researching their present buying.

Gary Thompson, Managing Director of easyfundraising.org.uk, says: “Christmas is an expensive time for everyone – but it is also a time for sharing and giving. If everyone in Britain bought just one gift through easyfundraising.org.uk it would make a massive impact on charities’ funds.”
